Why I Subscribe to eMeals

My husband and I make almost all of our meals from scratch. We rarely go out to eat and only rely on convenience foods such as frozen burritos or chicken nuggets once or twice a week. The rest of the time, one of us cooks a meal and hopefully makes enough for leftovers. However, because we cook frequently, we often need new meal recipes. That’s why I subscribe to eMeals every five years or so.

What Is eMeals?

If you don’t know about this service, eMeals is a subscription service that provides subscribers with recipes for dinner meals weekly. You can also upgrade to receive lunch, breakfast, and dessert recipes every week in addition to the dinner recipes.

eMeals has many different eating plans, including:

  • Paleo,
  • Clean Eating,
  • Budget Friendly,
  • Quick and Healthy,
  • 30 Minute,
  • Slow Cooker,
  • Plant-Based, and many more

If you try one recipe plan and don’t like it, you can switch to another plan. Furthermore, you can change plans as frequently as you would like.

After you pick the recipes you would like to make, eMeals creates a grocery shopping list for those recipes. You can also customize the grocery list to add additional items you need to purchase that week. Once you have your list, you can send it to Walmart, Shipt, or several other services for pick up or delivery.

Why I Subscribe to eMeals

Why I Subscribe to eMeals

I subscribe to eMeals every few years for several reasons:

To Get Out of a Cooking Rut

My husband and I get into cooking ruts, making the same recipes repeatedly. Some people enjoy rotating the same meals, but we get bored. eMeals helps us find new recipes and gives us more variety in our meals.

To Save Time

I often spend too much time on the internet looking for new recipes. eMeals solves this problem because they give me new recipes every week.

In addition, I save time because eMeals creates the grocery list for me, simplifying the process of shopping and cooking.

Why I Don’t Subscribe to eMeals Continuously

Occasionally subscribing to eMeals meets my needs and carries me through with different recipes until I subscribe again.

How? eMeals allows subscribers to print the meal plan each week. I do that and mark which recipes are our favorites. Then, I put the printed recipes in a binder, and I can use them in the future after my subscription is over.

In addition, when I subscribe, I maximize my purchase by adding on the lunch, breakfast, and dessert recipes. With this addition, I receive 20 recipes a week—seven dinner, five lunch, five breakfast, and three dessert recipes. So, if I subscribe for one year, I receive over 1,000 recipes! That’s plenty, so I let my subscription lapse until I find myself stuck in a cooking slump again.

Final Thoughts

I subscribe to eMeals to easily find new recipes and save time. However, I save money by only subscribing occasionally and printing the recipes so that I can use them again in the future.
