You don’t necessarily have to sign up with Airbnb to make money off the extra space in your house. In fact, you can use your extra space to board local pets rather than people this holiday season.

Sell old gift cards you haven’t touched
If you have gift cards in your wallet that you received for your birthday or even last year for the holidays for places or stores that you don’t enjoy, don’t throw those gift cards away. You can actually sell them online on sites like GiftCardZen.com, Raise.com, CardCash.com, and Cardpool.com.
These websites buy gift cards for less than the value on the card and then resell them at a discount. This means you can make money off the gift cards you don’t want while other people can buy them for their full worth at a lower price.
