The Top 10 Most Valuable MLB TeamsHello, Dinks. The Major League Baseball season officially kicked off last week. Baseball is big business. Today, I will share with you the ten most valuable MLB teams according to Forbes.

New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are Major League Baseball’s most valuable team. They are currently valued at $3.4 billion dollars. The Yankees had $516 million in revenue last season. Their average ticket price is $64.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the next team on the list. They are valued at $2.5 billion. The Dodgers made $438 million in revenue last season. Their average ticket price is $31.

Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox are valued at $2.3 billion. Even with a last-place finish last season, the Red Sox still managed to generate a lot of revenue. They made $398 million last season. Their average ticket price is $56.

San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants are the 4th most valuable team. They are valued at $2.25 billion. They made $409 million in revenue in 2015. With it being an even year, the Giants may be poised to make another run at the World Series. They’ve won it in 2010, 2012, and 2014. All three of those were even years, so you can’t count them out. Their average ticket price is $41.

Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are the next team on the list. The “lovable losers” as the Cubs have been called over the years are not losers when it comes to team valuation. They are valued at $2.2 billion. The Cubs made $340 million in revenue in 2015. Their average ticket price is $50. In my opinion, the price is worth it. Wrigley Field is awesome.

New York Mets

The New York Mets are valued at $1.65 billion. Their revenue was $317 million last season. They look to increase that amount coming off a World Series appearance. Their average ticket price is $25.

St. Louis Cardinals

The St. Louis Cardinals are the 7th most valuable MLB team. They are valued at $1.16 million. Last season, they made $300 million in revenue. The Cardinals play in a stacked National League Central division with the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates. The race between those three teams will be exciting all season. If you plan on catching a Cardinals game, their average ticket price is $36.

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are worth $1.34 billion. They have arguably the best player in the game in Outfielder Mike Trout. The Angels made $312 million last season in revenue. Their average ticket price is $28.

Washington Nationals

The Washington Nationals are worth $1.3 billion. They made $293 million last season in revenue. Their average ticket price is $35. That’s not too much to pay to see last season’s MVP, Bryce Harper in action.

Philadelphia Phillies

The Philadelphia Phillies round out the list of top 10 valued MLB teams. They are the third National League East division team on the list. They are valued at $1.235 billion. Even though they won just 63 games last season, they still made $263 million in revenue. Their average ticket price is $37.

My Atlanta Braves didn’t make the top 10 list. I would say that I’m shocked, but they are in full rebuilding load. People don’t want to pay to see a team get beat every night.

Did your favorite team make the list?
