Use cash.
Americans have a ton of credit card debt. People use credit cards to live beyond their means all the time. A lot of experts agree that when you go to an all cash system you’ll be less likely to spend your money frivolously – cash has that effect on people. It may require some sacrifice on your part, but the long run should be worth it: more cash on your pocket and less to the card companies.
We are the other way around when it comes to having cash. If we have cash we tend to spend it all but when we put it on credit we tend to think about the expense more. Saying that we’ve never paid a lick of interest as they are paid in full each month. I guess it’s a personal call on this one.
Hey CBB…interesting…what I find telling is that when business go from credit cards to all cash, they tend to make more money. This suggests that people are more likely to spend when they use cards.
